Shirley Thompson

Shirley Thompson passed away November 22, 2025. Shirley was born in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada.  She graduated as a registered nurse in 1951 and practiced nursing in a variety of specialties, retiring from the Spokane County Health District in 1996.   Shirley was married to her husband Gregory for 64 years.   They moved to Spokane in 1973.  Shirley was born in Selkirk, Manitoba and had duel citizenship in the USA and Canada.  She enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, and was an active member of the Wildrose Ramblers Club and the Starshooters and served on the Spokane area council board. Shirley is survived by her children, John Thompson (wife, Jeannine and grandchildren Clare and Katelyn), Ann Gower (granddaughter Hayley), and Paula Glanville (husband Keith).  Our thanks go to Providence Holy Family Hospital who assistance during her passing.
