Stella Joan Lee Obituary Stella Joan Lee ? Resided Spokane WA Stella Joan Lee went home to Jesus on March 15, 2023, at age 93 at her home. Stella was one of nine children born to Alfonso and Angelina Bruno on October 22, 1929, in Spokane WA. She was a devoted daughter and had a close relationship with all her siblings. She met naval officer Phillip Edward Lee after high school, and they were married for 38 years raising two children together. She was a devoted wife, homemaker, loving mother, and shared a special bond with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Stella was an excellent cook. You could always smell the aroma of fine cooking coming from her kitchen. Her authentic Italian dishes were often requested by others on holidays, social events, and church functions. Stella was active in many organizations including home and school associations, community, and church. She was pictured in the Spokesman Review newspapers on several occasions for women?s events and on the evening news winning Queen for the Day Bowling Championship at Lilac Lanes. Fond family memories include traveling, camping, sports events and competitions, and the arts. Stella loved to shop, stop at yard sales and was a great bargain hunter! Stella was most passionate about her relationship with Jesus. Her faith was the chief cornerstone and stability in her life. Stella evangelized and led many people to the Lord. She loved unconditionally with compassion and empathy as her gifts. She had many ministries in her life including a skid row ministry and Spokane County Jail ministry. It is said a true legacy is not what you leave rather it?s every life you?ve touched. Stella leaves a rich legacy as she touched hundreds of lives and holds a special place in many hearts. We believe God welcomed her home saying, ?job well done my good and faithful servant?. Stella was a unique and remarkable person who will be forever missed but never forgotten. Stella is preceded in death by her husband Phillip Lee. She is survived by her son Richard Lee, daughter Mary Lee, sister Jane Meyer, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, grandchildren Monet, Marissa, Reggie, Labrina, Tiana and great grandchildren Tierra, Omarion, Giavanna, and Tahlia. A memorial service will be held on April 15th, at noon, at the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA, 99205.
