Susan Davis Nelson Obituary (Age 54) Passed away suddenly on November 3, 2010 in Spokane, WA. She was born in Deols, France on February 1, 1956 to John & Ann Reed. Susan lived the military life living in France, Illinois, Germany, Clovis, NM, Willowsprings, CA, Mountain Home, ID and finally settling in Moscow, ID in 1967. She had a career in banking from 1974 until 2005. Susan married John Nelson on December 26, 2003 in Pullman, WA, then moved to Charlottesville, VA before moving to the Spokane/Newman Lake area in 2007. Susan enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and watching the wildlife at Newman Lake. She especially loved time with her family, pets, was a caregiver to her mother and was active in helping at the Waterford on the south hill. Susan will be remembered as a wonderful, warm, generous, loving and caring person. She is preceded in death by her father John and sister Kristen Reed. She was survived by her husband John; son Travis of Spokane; daughters Molly Messinger of Tempe, AZ, and Jennifer Nelson of Spokane; mother Ann Reed of Spokane; sister Sydney Reed of San Rafael, CA; nephew Edward Flathers of Moscow, ID; sister-in-law Becky (Larry) Kurtze and mother-in-law Gretchen Rutherford, all of St. George, UT. Memorials in her memory may be made to Meals on Wheels, 1222 W. 2nd Ave., Spokane, WA 99201. A private family service was held.
