In Loving Memory of Sue Craig
1958 – 2025
Sue Craig, age 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Spokane, Washington, on December 23, 2025.
Born in Oxnard, California, Sue eventually settled in Spokane, where she built a life centered around her community and the simple joys of home. She was a woman of quiet strength and a generous spirit, known for her ability to find beauty in the everyday.
Sue was a gifted baker who found true joy in her kitchen. She understood that sharing something homemade was one of the best ways to show care for others, and her friends and neighbors will long remember the treats she shared and the warmth she brought to every gathering.
Sue also believed in staying active and cherished the natural beauty of the Spokane area. She was a frequent participant in local 5K walks, where she appreciated the fresh air and the camaraderie of her fellow walkers. Whether she was out on a trail or busy in her kitchen, Sue moved through life with purpose and a gentle grace.
Sue’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her mother, Carol Senske; her daughter, Andrea McCain, and son-in-law, Brandon McCain; and her two grandchildren, Eleanor (12) and Max (9), who were the lights of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Craig (Vicki); her dear friend, Kim Day and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Liz Senske, her father, Richard Craig, and her brother, Rick Craig.
A gathering to honor Sue’s life will be held on February 17 at 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane. In her memory, the family suggests taking a walk in a local park or sharing a favorite baked treat with a loved one, just as Sue always did.
