Susan M. Knight Obituary Susan M. Knight passed away and went to be with our Lord on the morning of June 30, 2011 in Spokane, WA. She was born on August 20, 1954 to Edward G. Cuzzetto Jr. and Bernita Garvey and was a proud 4th generation Spokanite. Susan attended St. Francis of Assisi School and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1972. In 1976 she married John Knight, with whom she raised two wonderful sons, Jeremiah and David. As a family, they spent many happy summers camping at Priest Lake, ID, enjoying the beautiful mountains, teaching her boys to swim and picking huckleberries. She also loved spending time with her family at Ocean Park, WA where they would take long walks, sit on the beach and look for sand dollars. Susan worked for Safeway Grocery Stores from 1976 to 1979 before turning her energies to her home life to raise her two sons. Most of her professional life was spent at the Spokane County Elections Department (1989-2010), where she placed the well being of the public and her co-workers as her highest priority. She is universally acknowledged for pursuing excellence in everything she did, regardless of the task at hand. Susan was a devoted and contributing member of The King?s Community Church with her husband and current pastor. She loved her Lord, Jesus Christ and her church family where she attended for 35 years. She loved to spend time worshipping the Lord and praying for her friends and people she knew. Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, John Knight, and her wonderful children, Jeremiah, David and his wife Amanda; 4 sisters, Carlyn Jozwiak, Gerene Brewer, Laura Boyle and Bernadette Townsend; 1 brother, Kevin Cuzzetto; her uncle Robert Cuzzetto; 2 aunts, Elaine Jennings-Williams and Leola Gleason. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Edward G. Cuzzetto, mother Bernita Garvey, sister Mary Margaret Cuzzetto and brother Edward Cuzzetto. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 2 pm to honor the life of Susan M. Knight.
