On May 21st, 2025, the city of Spokane lost one of their long-standing (nearly 50 years) and well-known residents to a courageous battle with COPD/Emphysema.  Susan Pritchard was 81 years young and full of life to the end.  She was born on December 14th, 1943, in Alhambra, CA, to Wilbur and Wilma.  The Pacific Northwest was her “happy” place, as she absolutely loved the Mountains and the snow, constantly referring to the area as “God’s Country”.  Those that knew her would agree she was a very resilient and proud woman, having surmounted multiple critical surgeries and challenges throughout her lifetime that many could not endure nor imagine.  Without a doubt, she will be sorely missed by her immediate family and host of friends made over the years.  When it came to having a good time, Susan had multiple outlets:  Was an avid bowler & league secretary for decades, loved to gamble for the thrill/anticipation of winning the jackpot, played cribbage & bridge into the wee-hours of the night, enjoyed sewing, loved to travel (including multiple international cruises), and was a wonderful Mother/Grandmother.  It can’t be over-stated or under-appreciated, raising her children/grandchildren was her passion and focus in life, of which we all are VERY grateful for!  Her smile, laugh, genuine care/love, and joking/spontaneous personality were hallmarks of who she was and how she carried herself thru her time on earth.  We wish her the best and most peaceful time in heaven with her Husband - James Pritchard, and Daughter - Kristie Pritchard.  Tammy, her eldest Daughter ; Sam & Johnny, her Sons ; and multiple Grandchildren survive her.  The services for Susan will be held on Friday, June 13th at Heritage Funeral Home, visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a 1:00 pm funeral service. Riverside Memorial Park will be her final place of rest, alongside her husband of over 40 years. Lastly with sadness, We LOVE and MISS You Mom!!
