Suzanne (nee Miller) DeWaide

Suzanne (Nee Miller) DeWaide Obituary Suzanne was born January 7, 1969 in Provo, Utah to Bob and Donna Miller. The family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1970 and back to Utah in 1975. The family moved to Spokane in 1975 where they remain. Suzanne died unexpectedly December 1, 2017 at Holy Family Hospital at age 48. Suzanne graduated from Mead High School in 1987 and later attended Washington State University where she achieved a degree in Early Childhood Development. She was very passionate about helping people and volunteered at the Mead Food Bank along with her husband and two younger children. She was active for a number of years in the Parent Teacher Organization at Farwell School and was a Girl Scout Leader for her daughters Scout Troop as well as a committee member with her younger sons boy Scout Troop. Suzanne had a great zest for living and there were not too many things she was not willing to try. She was a loving mother and supportive wife to her husband Scott. Because of her interest in healthy living, for the past several years, Suzanne had worked in the Natural Foods Industry. She was an avid runner and along with a close friend tried to walk several miles daily. Her favorite exercise was to walk Midway Hill backwards several times a week. Suzanne was an avid gardener and loved to share her extra produce with family, friends and neighbors. Suzanne is survived by her loving husband Scott and three children Jordan Stoddard and Jarrett and Sydney DeWaide. She was preceded in death by her father May 21, 2009 and her older brother Robert August 31, 1996. Suzanne is also survived by her mother Donna Miller; brother James Miller (Nanette); sisters Judi Miller (Dan Heberer) and Melissa Barton (Matt). Nieces and nephews Lydia Miller and Keagan, Paige and Reid Barton. Suzannes untimely death has left the family devastated. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and everyone whose life she touched. Memorial services will be held December 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, North 15515 Gleneden, Spokane WA 99208. In lieu of flowers Suzanne would want you to donate to the Mead Food Bank.
