Sylvia Marie Meuler Obituary (Age 89) She was born August 25, 1910 in Spokane and has lived here her entire life. She graduated from North Central High in 1938. Married William Meuler in 1942. She attended Eastern Washington University. Music was a big part of her life, she was a long time member of Northwood Presbyterian Church and sang in the church choir and the choir at EWU. She played the violin for the Jim Baker Band and taught violin and piano. Her first full time job started in Jan. 1939 as a receptionist at KFPY radio station and this was an introduction for many secretarial positions throughout her lifetime. She was a member of Mu Phi Epsilon (philanthropic music society) and she looked forward to the Spokane Symphony performances. She loved traveling and going to Loon Lake and spending weekends there with family. She loved feeding the birds and every day she put out bread crumbs for them and watched through the kitchen window. She loved to have a swim every day weather permitting in her pool or at the lake. She spent many hours weaving afghans for her family that enjoyed receiving her handiwork. She enjoyed being in her back yard and was a tireless raker of pine needles and could out-rake younger people any day. We will remember her for boundless energy and the love she had for her family. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Sylvia K. Bumgarner (Gary); sons Louis and Dale (Nancy); 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband
