Tanya Jean (O'Donovan, Carroll) Marlton Obituary Tanya Jean Marlton (O'Donovan, Carroll), 71, a lifelong resident of Eastern Washington, passed away January 6, 2018. Tanya was born July 27, 1946 in Plummer, ID to Carley and Raymond O'Donovan. Tanya was an intelligent, vivacious, supportive, and tenacious woman. Her passion for wildlife and gardening was surpassed only by her love of family and friends. She also enjoyed picking huckleberries, fishing, horseback riding, and crocheting. Tanya was a trailblazer for women, attained her Master of Business Administration from Gonzaga in 1972, rose to the rank of Associate Superintendent in the Dept. of Corrections, and retired after 35 years of public service. Tanya is survived by her four children, Sonya Sievers (Spangle, WA), Natasha Marlton (Cheney, WA), George Marlton (Tualatin, OR), and Carley Dirks (Milwaukie, OR); four grandchildren, Ashley and Rachel Lentz and Cameron and Stephan Babcock; and sister, Karen O'Donovan. A memorial service will be held January 20, 2018, 1:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224 with a gathering to follow.
