Thelma Fay Roessler Obituary Beloved Wife & Mother (Age 92) Thelma Fay Roessler passed away March 17, 2011 at the Spokane Hospice Care Facility. She was born on November 16, 1918 to Herman Peters and Bertha Byers in the town of Spangle, WA. She Graduated from Spangle High School. She attended Spokane Beauty College and immediately went to work as a beautician. Thelma was a beautiful woman who dabbled in modeling for a short time. She met her husband to be on a blind date. They fell in love and were married in 1945. Her husband Fred was an Air Force Major and together they saw the world including time spent in Japan where they gave birth to their first son Fred W. Back in the states they had two more children, their daughter Carol and their son David. They finally settled in California in 1963 to raise their family. In 2005 they moved back to Spokane to spend time with her twin sister Wilma with whom she never lost touch and dearly loved. Thelma loved all her family including her daughters-in-law Ingrid and Donna Sue also her nieces and nephews, their children and her grandson Max. She always put others first in her life and was deeply concerned with the welfare of others. She was known for extending loving motherly care to her children's friends and others when they were in need. In 2010 she and Fred celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Thelma lived a very, very full life. She is survived by her husband Fred, her children Fred W., Carol and David, her grandson Max, and her sister Wilma Erfurth. The Roessler Family wishes to thank Comfort Keepers, Hospice of Spokane and all the wonderful friends throughout the years who have made mom's life so rich. Mom we love you and you will be missed. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday March 22nd 2011 at Riverside Memorial Park. All friends are welcome.
