Thelmarie Brown) Kennedy (VanderMeer Obituary (Age 96) Of Spokane, Mom passed away peacefully on April 19, 2017. She was born December 19, 1920 in Bozeman, MT. She was preceded in death by husbands Lee VanderMeer, Eugene Kennedy and Ivan Brown; a son Kenneth VanderMeer. She worked as a Dept. Head for J.C. Penney Co. as well as owning Kennedy Janitorial for 20 years. She belonged to several community organizations including Moose Lodge, Eagles, VFW-51 and Washington State Grandmothers Club. She is survived by sons Ron VanderMeer of Spokane and William (Arlene) VanderMeer of Seattle; daughter Betty (Mike) Muchen of Seattle; other step-children; grandchildren; great and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday 10-5PM at Heritage and Funeral Service 2:30PM Friday, April 28, 2017 at Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave. Family and friends will also gather at Noon Saturday April 29th at Hills Restaurant, 401 W. Main St. in Spokane.
