Theodore "Teddy" Edward Laughary Obituary
(Age 3) Theodore ?Teddy? Edward Laughary, 3, died September 11, 2016. A perfectly healthy little boy, he died in his sleep of unknown causes. He was born March 15, 2013 in Spokane, WA to Casey and Bonny (Eaton) Laughary.
Teddy was a big personality in a little red-haired body. Always moving, always busy, he loved making us smile and laugh. If you asked him what he wanted to do, he would likely say ?I have an idea! Let?s go to the park!? with a smile that lit up his face. He was a social little bug who loved being around people. Everyone was a friend. Going to the grocery store was one of his favorite things to do because it gave him an opportunity to talk to people and meet ?new neighbors?. He just started preschool the week before he died. He loved music and loved to dance as only he could with his ?wiggly hips and quick feet? as he called them. He spent countless hours on the floor with his cars, reading books, playing trains, doing puzzles, playing outside, and recently, playing go fish (?whatcha got??). He was such an imaginative little guy and loved making up stories and coming up with new fun things to do. He loved his little brother Elias fiercely, they were ?best buddies? and loved nothing more than wrestling like maniacs in the ?wrestling room?, making each other giggle, and getting into mischief. The boys were inseparable and did everything together.
Teddy is survived by his parents, Casey and Bonny, and his brother Elias; his maternal grandparents Kevin and Lauri Eaton, and Grandma Bob and Rick South; his paternal grandparents Chuck and MaryEllen Laughary; and two Great-Grandmas: Great-Grandma Madge Eaton and Great-Grandma Marjorie Laughary. Teddy was loved by so many aunts, uncles, and cousins: Juli and Kerry White, and Avery, Emma, and Josie White; Kristy and Mark Wolf, and Nick, Shayla, and Alayna Wolf; Creighton Laughary and Laura Triebold, and Micah and Leyvie Laughary; Clay Laughary; Corey and Tina Laughary, and Danny, Zoe, and Hetty Lee Laughary; and Derek and Alicia Hansen, and Jiuliana and Nolan Hansen.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane. A celebration of Teddy?s life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church located at 7307 N. Nevada St., Spokane, WA 99208. We respectfully ask that people not wear black; instead please wear bright colors (Teddy loved orange and red). He was such a bright light for us and we want the memorial to reflect how Teddy lit up our lives. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you consider contributing to a memorial we want to create at one of Teddy?s favorite parks.
