Thomas L. Toennis Obituary Thomas L. Toennis passed away November 19, 2011 in Spokane, Washington from complications of diabetes. Tom was born February 20, 1954 in Cottonwood, Idaho. He graduated from Prairie High School in Cottonwood, Idaho and Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. Tom was an avid computer enthusiast. (Some called him a computer geek). He worked in sales for a variety of Spokane electronic stores and held other computer related positions. He was head cheerleader and photographer for his daughter?s basketball activities. Tom was a member of St. Thomas More Parish. Tom is survived by Sandy, his wife of 27 years (Spokane), daughter, Marissa (Spokane), son, Nicholas, (Boise, Idaho), father, Jim Toennis (Cottonwood, Idaho) and brothers and sisters: Terry (Yakima, Washington), Allan (Eagle, Idaho), Vickie Hinkleman (Greencreek, Idaho) and Janine Bernard (Meridian, Idaho). He is preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Toennis. A rosary for Thomas will begin at 7:00 PM Friday November 25 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 515 W. St. Thomas More Way, Spokane, WA. Memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Saturday November 26. Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to: American Diabetes Association, 315 W. Mission, Suite #20, Spokane, Washington 99201.
