Thomas "Tim" F. Draper Obituary (Age 74) Passed peacefully away February 22, 2010 showing his great strength and dignity during his illness. He was born April 25, 1935 in Worcester, MA. Tim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie (Powers) Draper whom he married November 17, 1956 in Chestnut Hill, MA. He attended Phillips Academy in Andover, MA 1949-1953 and then Harvard University in Boston from 1953-57 and graduated with a BA in Economics. Tim worked his entire career in the wool business, as president of his own company and finally with Wellman, Inc. in Georgetown, SC until his retirement in 1996. He is the son of the late Thomas F. Draper, Sr. of Scituate, MA and Alice D. Draper; the brother of Edward D. Draper of Canton, MA; and the late Joanne P. Draper. Tim is survived by his wife; five children: Cheryl M. Clossin of Spokane, Mary Glen Mancuso of Morgan Hills, CA, Thomas F. Draper III of Forest Grove, OR, Joseph P. Draper of Otisfield, ME and Teresa Casey of Chisholm, MN; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Throughout Tim's life he enjoyed many interests including reading, playing bridge, canoeing, fishing, swimming and music. His family would like to express special thanks to his long time physician, Dr. Daniel Husky and his devoted staff and to Sacred Heart Medical Center ICU for their compassionate and outstanding care. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday 10-5PM at the funeral home and Graveside Service 11:00AM Saturday February 27, 2010 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Spokane Guild School.
