Tony Lee Thompson Obituary (Age 47) On Janary 10, 2010 Tony passed away in Spokane, WA due to complications from open heart surgery. He was born on January 25, 1962 in Clarkston, WA to William and Beverly Ann Thompson. Services were held on Saturday, January 16, 2010. The youngest of three brothers, he graduated from Mead High School in 1980. After having served in the U.S. Army, he moved to California where he worked as a machinist with his brother Rick. Tony married the love of his life, Joy and the following year their son, Robert was born. After returning to Spokane he began his own successful landscaping and contracting business. Some of his favorite outdoor activities were skiing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, jet skiing and power boating. Other interests included hot-rodding, bracket racing and offroading. Tony had varied skills in carpentry, home improvements and building renovations. Tony is survived by his wife, Joy; his son, Robert; his parents, Bill and Ann; his brothers Dan (wife Tana) and Rick (wife Poranee). His wife, son and parents all reside in Spokane. Because of Tony's great love for his pets (Joplin, Marley, Tiger and Ruby), in lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to the Spokane Humane Society, PO Box 6247, Spokane, WA 99217 in his name. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date yet to be decided.
