Valerie "Sally" Andrea Latimer Obituary (Age 83) Passed away September 13, 2011 in Kennewick, WA. She was born November 16, 1927 in Astoria, OR to Prentice and Valeria Stewart. She attended grade schools in Orenco, OR and Spokane and attended Lewis and Clark High School. Sally worked for J.C. Penney's Fabric Dept. on N. Division, but her greatest blessing was being a wife and a mother. She loved her family, listening to classical music, oil painting , traveling, playing the piano, being at the ocean on the Oregon Coast and she was a "primo seamstress". She was a member of the the Toastmistress Club, the L.D.S. Church and loved to attend the Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley N. Latimer of 63 years, her parents and a brother Richard L. Stewart. Sally is the "Grand Matriarch" of: her daughters Claudia Louise Minzel of Spokane; Leslie Carol Strycker (Tim) of Kennewick, Vera Lynne George of Puyallup; Ethel Arlene Havens (Gregg) of Boise, ID; 15 grandchildren: Lori Schmidt, Darcie Schmidt, Blaine Allen, Amedee Vally, Derek Minzel, Heidi Wilson, Corey, Camron and Jon Strycker, Shelley Cleaves, Blake, Brent, Megan and Bryson George, Michelle Cluff; numerous great, and great-great grandchildren; and is survived by her previous husband Bud D. Dove. Visitation will be at Heritage 10AM-5PM Friday and Funeral Service 2:00PM Saturday Sept. 17th at Shiloh Hills L.D.S. Church, Sitka Bldg. 808 E. Sitka Ave.
