Vera M. Baron Obituary (Age 70) Passed away at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, WA on January 30, 2010. She was born on November 22, 1939 in Wilton, ND to Roman and Anna Shoman. She graduated from Wilton High School, Wilton, ND in 1957. She worked for the Grand Pacific Hotel in Bismarck, ND where she met her husband, Art Baron. They were married in 1968 in Spokane, WA. She worked for Addus Health Care in Spokane until she retired in 2006. She had recently resided at the Lilac Plaza and enjoyed all her friends and activities there. Vera was a member of the Spokane Moose and VFW organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband Art in 2006; stepson Danny Baron in 1996; parents; two brothers; and two sisters. Vera is survived by daughter Michelle (Baron) Daley and husband Tony; stepdaughters, Susan (Baron) Lee, Kendall Park, NJ, Sandra (Baron) Ruffin and husband Beau, Kendall Park, NJ; grandchildren, Casey Lee, Jermaine, Sharalynn, and Bowdy Ruffin; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry Shoman and wife Harriette, Yuma, AZ, Nick Shoman and wife Jeanne, Moses Lake, WA, Donald Shoman and wife Ruby, Orting, WA. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 12 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park, Spokane, WA.
