Verdeen "Dean" Edward Neidig Obituary (Age 83) Dean passed away peacefully on September 8, 2015. He was born September 9, 1931 in Snydertown, PA to William and May Neidig. In 1950, Dean enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic in Korea and stateside until 1974. After retirement he worked for Tubb?s Electric in Spokane for 20 years. Dean enjoyed his children and grandchildren, and traveling with his wife Rena. Their numerous trips to the Oregon Coast and Hawaii were among his favorites. He had fun learning to snow ski and meeting new friends in the Selkirk Ski Club. He also loved yard work and long walks. Dean is survived by his wife Rena, children Garry Neidig, Sharon Neidig, Steven Neidig, and Nancy (John) Woods; stepchildren Bill Plank, Rod Plank, and Julie (Mike) Mullin; brother Emerson (Betty) Neidig, and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his 2 sisters Jeanette and Martha. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Spokane Veteran?s Home for their tender loving care of Dean in his final years.
