Vernon Cornell Thorson Obituary One of the Thorson Boys of High Landing, MN has passed away after a brief bout with cancer, on Sunday, December 27. He was 87 years old. Vern was a veteran of the Korean War, awarded with silver and bronze stars while serving with the Army?s 2nd ID. He retired as a letter carrier after 30 years with the US Post Office. Vern was a voracious reader, a devout Mariner Fan and a lover of golf. He was of quick wit and was known to have enjoyed a ?cool one? now and then, he was also fond of placing a wager at the tracks and enjoyed the card room! Dad was so much more- simply though-he was a good guy?a good man! He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Donna and daughter Christine. He is survived by 4 brothers; Art, Carroll, Delano and Lowell, 4 children; Kim, Gary, Terry and Jon, along with 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Cascade Way, Spokane, WA 99208, or any animal shelter. Viewing will take place Friday, January 8 from 10:00am to 5:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 9 at 11:00 am at Heritage Chapel.
