Vernon L. Osterback aged 92, died May 3, 2025 in Spokane, Washington. Survived by his wife of 71 years, Norma Osterback, their children and spouses John Osterback and Lynn Stryker, Carol and Dave Johnson, Sue and Dave Richards, Janet and Dan Bien, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.


He was the youngest of six children, born to parents John and Esther Osterback on December 10, 1932, in Spokane. He graduated from North Central High School, Whitworth College (B.A.), and Northern Illinois University (M.B.A.)


A longtime resident of Spokane, he had a long career in human resources. He was an avid golfer and volunteered for several charities and church organizations throughout his lifetime.

He was a loving husband, devoted grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family.
