Violet R. Rockwell Obituary (Age 96) Violet R. Rockwell was born in Johnson, WA on May 10, 1919 and died October 20, 2015 at age 96. Her parents were Fred Garfield Heaton and Iona Nation Heaton. Mom lived a long, good life. In 1937 she married Ernest S. Rockwell. He died in 1972. They were parents of three daughters: Patricia Joann Raines, husband Jack (dec.), of Fernley, NV; Geraldine Joyce Kremer, husband Norman Kremer (dec.), of St. Louis, MO; and Marie Annette Moore, Widow of Jerry Bock, and now wife of Pat Moore of Riverside, WA. Mom lived in the Spokane area for over 60 years. Numerous grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive her. She is also survived by her sisters Frieda Taggart of Boise, ID and Faye Raspone (Paul) of Pullman, WA and Jean Pederson, also of Pullman. She lived independently for 43 years taking care of her yard and home. She dearly loved her 1973 Chevy Nova. Mom was preceded in death by her husband and her brothers Howard and Wayne Heaton and her sisters Anna Haxton and Louella Hodges and also a grandson and granddaughter and a great-granddaughter. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and Wednesday, October 21st from 10:00am to 5:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00am at Riverside Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
