Virginia "Ginger" Ann Albarado Obituary (Age 71) Our beloved wife, mother, daughter and aunt passed away after a sudden illness on May 18, 2015. Ginger was born on November 7, 1943 to John and Ada Kappler in Turlock, CA. She grew up in the Modesto area and attended Thomas Downey High School. In 1960 Ginger married Thomas C. Pointon and daughters Karen and Kristee were born. The family moved to Palouse, WA in 1971. After their divorce Ginger attended Washington State University and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in June of 1982. Also, during that year she married Donald Albarado and moved to the Spokane area where she worked in the Financial Aid Department at Spokane Community College for 27 years. After her retirement she became caregiver for her beloved mother and watched over her precious great-grandchildren. Anyone who met her, loved her. She will be greatly missed by many including those who survived, her husband of 33 years, Donald, her two daughters, six step children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and any of those who called her "Mom". A Graveside inurnment will be held to honor Ginger and her life on Monday, June 1, at 11:00 am at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. A potluck luncheon will follow at 1:00 pm at Fellowship Church of God, 2102 E. Everett.
