Virginia "Ginny" Peterson Obituary (Age 88) Virginia Peterson passed away on October 12, 2012 in Spokane, WA. She was born in Hastings, Nebraska to Harold and Freda Clarke on April 3, 1924 and came to Spokane at age six. On August 16, 1942, Virginia married Edgar J. "Pete" Peterson and they celebrated 69 years together. Ginny liked to fish and enjoyed camping. She also enjoyed playing bridge and listening to sporting events on the television. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Ray, son-in-law, Mark J. Ray, Sr.; grandchildren, Mark J. Ray, Jr., Michael K. Ray, Matthew P. Ray, Jennifer M. Amistoso, Bartley S. Peterson, Stacey E. Peterson; and 10 great-grandchildren. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Edgar J. "Pete" Peterson and her son, H. Scott Peterson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make donations to Hospice of Spokane, 121 S Arthur St, Spokane, WA 99202. A private service will be held at a later date.
