Virginia Mae (Rose) Carr was born May 13, 1927 the daughter of Ernest Clifford Rose and Vera Christina (Pike) Rose on a farm near Clarks, Nebraska. Virginia, a resident of Spokane, Washington Virginia passed away on June 2, 2025 at the age of 98.
Virginia lived in Nebraska until she was 10 years old when her family relocated to Weiser, Idaho in 1937. She finished her elementary and High School education in Weiser, graduating in 1944. After graduation she worked for Dr. Emerson Logan learning to be his dental assistant. After 2 years she went to work at the Washington County Courthouse as a tax clerk. May 5, 1948 she married Leslie Raymond “Bud” Carr. In 1950 they moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon where they lived and raised their 2 children Deanna Sue Carr and Leslie Dean Carr. In 1972 they moved to Bend, Oregon. Virginia worked for her brother Clifford Dean Rose at Rose Pharmacy for 10 years. In 1983 she then began working for Bend Memorial Clinic until she retired in 1994.
After retiring she and her husband moved to Corvallis, Oregon to be closer to family. In 2013 she relocated to Spokane, Washington where she lived until her passing. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Carr and her daughter Deanna Carr. She is survived by her son Dean Carr (wife Cathy) of Spokane, Washington; 7 grandchildren Jaimie Schep, Joshua Schep, Jason Carr, Leslie Carr, Jennifer Lucas, Amanda Read and James Read; 21 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Private memorial services will be held in Corvallis, Oregon at a later date.
