Waldo "Wally" E. Cranston, Jr. Obituary (Age 84) Passed away on October 13, 2009 in Spokane, WA. He was born on September 7, 1925 in Great Falls, MT to Waldo E. Cranston, Sr. and Hazel Cranston. Wally was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in March, 1946 after serving in World War II. He married Vivian LeLacheur on June 20, 1947 in Bozeman, MT. He graduated from Montana State University in 1949. He had resided in Spokane, WA since 1962. Wally started in the insurance business in 1952 and became owner of Cranston/Johnson Insurance in 1964. He retired in 1989 with the Cranston Agency. Wally was very active in the Ski Schools at Mt. Spokane and 49 Degrees North and loved golfing and other outdoor sports. He is survived by Vivian Rose Cranston, wife for 62 years; son James A Cranston; daughter Sandra L. Warne, all of Spokane, WA; brother Rod Roys, Bozeman, MT. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
