Wallace W. "Wally" Mahoney Obituary (Age 94) Wally passed away on September 18, 2017 in Spokane. He was born to George W. and Mary Mahoney on May 22, 1923. Wallace grew up in Spokane and graduated from North Central High School. Following high school, he attended Kinman Business College and went to work at GMAC as an accountant until his retirement. Wallace was a World War II veteran and was very active in the Masons and the Shriners. In Wallaces retirement years, he enjoyed gardening and traveling with his loving wife. They visited all 48 states in their RV. Wally helped start 2 churches during his life and remained active in the Nazarene Church until his passing. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou, daughters: Shannon Mahoney, and Shelley Angioi and her husband Mick, granddaughter Jennifer Kelly and her husband Pat and 2 great-grandchildren, Caroline and David. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. The family would like to thank the staff at the Spokane Veterans Home for their wonderful care in his last days. A Memorial will be held at a later date.
