Walter A. Stevens Obituary (Age 82) Walter passed away December 20, 2014, he was born March 23, 1932 in Canton, Maine to Herbert and Gladys Stevens. He is survived by his loving spouse of 62 years Bernice, as well as his sons Michael (Sheila), Gregory (Denise) and Ronald (Frances). Walter is the grandfather of Daniel (Leah), Karen (Major), Jessica (Austin), Jeremy (Bonnie) and Samantha. He is the Great-Grandfather of Abigail, Dexter, Sawyer, Edward, and Andrew. He is also survived by his brothers Bob and Bill, and his sister Virginia. He is preceded in death by his son Duane, and daughter Susan, brothers John, Fred, Junior, and Dick, and his sisters Ruth and Alice. Walter had retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after 21 years in the US Air Force in 1970. He had been stationed in Guam, Germany, Taiwan and the Philippines. He again retired after 23 years in banking in 1993. He has been a member of the Sons of Norway since 1984 and was a past president of the local Lodge. There will be no services held at Walter?s request.
