Walter Joseph Fetch Obituary Walter went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 18, 2009 in Spokane, WA. Born to Michael and Christine (Jochim) in Circle, MT on March 15, 1929, Walt grew up in western Montana farming with his family. He joined the U.S. Navy at age 16 serving at Pearl Harbor during World War II. Walt married Margaret James on May 28, 1949. They moved to Spokane in 1958 where he continued working for Safeway, retiring in 1994. Walt was a founding member of the Northside Church of Christ. One of his most beloved services was his work with the World Bible School, having corresponded with thousands of people, sharing the Gospel message around the world. Walt was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Rueben. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret, and his children Terry , Tracy (Gena), and Melissa Fetch of Spokane, Valerie (Wes) Matthews of Minot, ND, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 25 at the Northside Church of Christ at 5601 N. Jefferson.
