Wayne Gregory Wood Obituary (Age 86) Wayne G. Wood passed away April 25, 2017 in Spokane Valley, WA. He was born on June 27, 1930 in Great Falls, MT to Ollen O. and Anna B. Wood. Wayne lived at Loon Lake and loved traveling, fishing, sports and spending time with family. He was retired from the US Air Force as well as from the US Postal Service. He and his wife, Mary, were married on May 21, 1950 and would have been married 67 years this year. Wayne is survived by his wife, Mary E. Wood; children, Nancy Purdy, Clayton Wood and Debbie Berg; brother, Roger Wood; grandchildren, Adam Purdy, Jake Wood, Jaunna Carlson, Christy Berg, Courtney Berg, Robbie Berg and Kayla Wood; as well as seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne A. Buddy Wood and granddaughters, Tani and Janae Purdy. A funeral service for Wayne will be held on May 6, 2017 at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home.
