(Age 97) Entered into rest on March 24, 2017. Wesley was born in Everett, WA on January 7, 1920 to Elias and Elizabeth Scott. He was a graduate of North Central High School and received a degree in Business from Whitworth College in Spokane. Wes married Marian Mueller, his loving wife of 74 years, on April 19, 1942. Wes was a world War II veteran who first served as a Morse code instructor in the Army in Joplin, MO and later in the pacific theater, during which he was the Morse code operator for General MacArthur during the Japanese Surrender. After the war, he worked for the spokesman Review for over 30 years as a District Manager and for one year as the City Circulation Supervisor. Wes enjoyed many sports, including tennis, bicycling, bowling, and golf, where he continued to walk the course through 87 years of age. He was also an expert poker and blackjack player. Wes and Marian loved their lake cabin at Loon Lake where he was an avid fisherman and swimmer. He is survived by his wife and son, Doug Scott, daughter Marilyn (Tom) Reedy of Spokane, WA, and grandchildren Lea Reedy of Lincoln, NE and Russell Reedy of Spokane.
