Willard "Carl" Graham, Sr. was born in Othello, WA, November 14, 1915 and passed away May 9th, 2011 in Spokane, WA. Carl resided at Fairwinds Northpointe Retirement Community for the past seven years and resided in Spokane for the last 65 years.
In his early life, Carl served in the US Navy for four years, and later worked as a heavy duty equipment operator on the Panama Canal until 1945. Carl returned to Spokane and became self-employed in the service station/trailer/truck rental business on N. Division, retiring in 1980. He loved hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons and enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and a vegetable garden, which he shared with family and friends. A Sunday afternoon drive was always enjoyed by Carl.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister, and his loving wife of 60 years, Helen, who passed away in March 1997.
Survivors include his son Willard C. "Carl" Graham, Jr (Janey) of Colbert, WA; daughter Joyce Olsen (Richard) Burbank, WA; grandsons include Rick (Linda) Olsen, Hemet, CA, Ken (Alisa) Olsen, Kennewick, Bryan (Terry) Graham and Jeremy (Heather) Graham, both of Spokane. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren: Anna, Kameron, Richie, Nicholas Olsen, Bradlee, Brooklynn and Blaze Graham, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carl's life will be held at Fairwinds Northpointe, 520 E Holland at 11:00 AM, Saturday June 25th, 2011.
