William "Bill" A. Cooley, Jr. Obituary (Age 81) Bill was born in Southbend, Indiana on June 1, 1935 to parents Esther Reed and William A. Cooley and passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in Spokane, WA. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Dolores J. Cooley of 54 years. Bill is survived by sons William T. Cooley of Mill Creek; Michael A. Cooley of Spokane; brother Bernie Cooley; and granddaughter Emma Cooley. Bill was a lifelong outdoorsman and was actively involved in the Elks (as past President and officer), the Spaniel Club and the Bighorn Sportsman Show. Bill loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends and will be remembered for all the stories of fish that got away. Bill enjoyed watching the birds and animals in his backyard. He also loved spoiling his granddaughter, including hiding M&Ms for her when her parents weren't looking. Bill will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Shadle Park Presbyterian Church, 5508 N. Alberta, Spokane, WA. A reception will immediately follow at the same location. Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
