William "Bill" Hobbs Obituary (Age 78) Bill passed away April 20, 2016 in Spokane Valley, WA. He was born on December 13, 1937 to Melvin and Madelynn Hobbs in Spokane, WA. Bill is a loving husband to MaryLou Hobbs, 48 years, brother to Barbara Poffenroth, Chattaroy, WA, father to 9 Children: Karen Ridenour, Dennis Richardson, Cheri Marler, Bonnie Goyen, Shelley Robles, Mark Richardson, Connie Hobbs, Melvin Hobbs and Michelle Navarre, grandfather to 16, great-grandfather and uncle to many. Bill served 33 years with the City of Spokane Fire Department; retiring as a Lieutenant in 1993. His love for the outdoors drew him to many hobbies including horse racing, stock cars, snow-mobiles, hunting, fishing and camping. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Melvin. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May, 14th, at noon, at Heritage Funeral Home.
