William C. Weis Obituary (Age 89) Passed away September 24th at Deaconess Hospital, Spokane. He was born February 23rd, 1921 in Ruff, WA to John and Katherine (Oster) Weis. He attended Ruff School until the age of 14 when he left to help run the family farm due to his father's illness. He was married to Lila Steele of Browning, MT on January 30, 1952. He continued to farm and live in the Moses Lake area until the family moved to Spokane in 1975. He worked for the maintenance department at Spokane School District 81 until retirement. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and was an avid Major League Baseball fan. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Betty Jo in 1976 and by his brothers Vernon, Daniel and Arlie and sister Norma. He is survived by his wife, Lila; son and daughter-in-law, William and Mollie, and grandson John, all of Spokane. A viewing will be held 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday, October 2nd.
