William O. Nestoss Obituary (Age 91) He was born November 14, 1918 and raised in Wilbur, WA on the family farm. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 and participated in campaigns in North Africa and Europe as a radio operator until 1945. He returned to work on the family farm in Wilbur until May 1952 when he married Laura Herington and he moved to Spokane where they lived until moving to their ranch in Greenacres in 1958 where he resided until his death. Bill worked for Boise Cascade, Inland Empire Paper Mill and Alaska Steel and Supply until he retired and then worked full time on his ranch. His family was important to him and he enjoyed family campouts, get-togethers and game nights. He was a member of Spokane Valley Baptist Church and a former member of the Eagles and the Teamster's Union. Survived by his wife of 57 years Laura; daughters Kathleen (Larry) Pintler of Newman Lake, Kristine (Willard Wormuth) Nestoss of Greenacres; son Steven (Patti) Nestoss of Greenacres; Grandchildren Brian (Kira) Pintler of Spokane, Matthew Pintler of Newman Lake, Jennifer (Sydney-Jon) Allen of Spokane, Andrea Nestoss of Greenacres, Kaitlin Pintler of Newman Lake, Joshua Nestoss of Greenacres, Joseph Wormuth of Greenacres; great grandchildren Cadence and Aiden Pintler of Spokane; brother Lester Nestoss of Greenacres; sisters Lois Guiher of Spokane Valley and Myrna (William) Gothmann of Spokane Valley; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday 10-5 at Heritage. Memorial Service 1:30PM Friday, December 18, 2009 at Spokane Valley Baptist Church, 1222 S. McDonald Rd., Spokane Valley. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jonathan, Candice and the employees of Selkirk House and to Hospice of Spokane for their wonderful care of Bill. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Spokane or Honor Flight Inc., 300 E. Auburn Ave. Springfield, OH 45505.
