William R. "Bill" Petty Obituary William R. Petty, known to friends as "Bill?, passed away peacefully at his home in Spokane, WA on August 16, 2018 at the age of 84. A native of Spokane, WA, Bill married his high school sweetheart, Donna, who preceded him in death as well as their daughter, Cindy. Bill is survived by his son, Steven, friends and family. In his earlier days, Bill could often be found assisting his father Jim Petty, who managed the Early Birds Club at the Davenport Hotel and would arrive to work in his beloved red convertible MG. Bill and Donna were members of Park Heights Baptist Church. Bill spent his career as the purchasing manager at NAPA for most of the 40 years he was with the company. During that time, he guided his department into the technology era. He was honored and proudly received the distinction of Manager of the Year award for his position. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 23rd at 12:30PM at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 North Government Way, Spokane, WA.
