November 13, 1928 - March 28, 2014
Wilton C. Bursch Obituary Wilton C. Bursch was born to Chester and Eleanor Bursch on November 13, 1928 in Rocklyn, WA. He is survived by five sons: Bruce, Randy, Raymond, Michael and Clifford, two daughters: Theresa and Marjorie, 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, five brothers and one sister. Wilton graduated from Spokane's North Central High School in 1947 and worked on the Hoffman family ranch during his high school years. He started his career as an Iron Worker in 1948 with Union Local 86. He enjoyed a lifetime membership with Local 86 and had a career of working on grain elevators and also commercial buildings in downtown Seattle. He worked on many dams and bridges and covered many states including Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, California and Alaska. He was thought of by his children as the "man who built Seattle." Wilton loved sports and the great outdoors--especially hunting and fishing. He always had a sparkle in his eyes when he told stories about sports and the times he spent with his loved ones in the various sporting activities. After his retirement, he dedicated his life to his family as much as he had dedicated his life to his work. He was always ready to give and help in any way he could, not only to his children and grandchildren, but also to his brothers and sisters and their children. May you Rest in Peace, Wilton, and we will see you soon. Funeral services are on Saturday, April 12th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Wilton, please visit our Tree Store. Read more Events MAR 28
