In loving memory of Victoria Rae (Stempel) Manson, age 82, of Spokane, WA.  Vicky passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025.  She was born November 21, 1942, in Spokane, WA to Bernice (French) Stempel and Richard Caryl.  She graduated from Rogers High School in 1960. After raising a family, she attended SCC and graduated with an AAS degree in Respiratory Therapy in 1987. She had a career in Respiratory Therapy and went on to become a Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Studies) in the early 1990’s at Sacred Heart Medical Center.  She always said, “I love sleep.”   Vicky retired in 2010.

Vicky was married to James Manson until 1978 and they had three beloved sons together.  Though they parted ways, they remained welcome in each other’s lives and celebrated a shared and growing family.

Vicky was passionate about gardening, books, music, movies, Pinochle, family, and especially her grandchildren and their families.  She made the best pies for countless small and large family gatherings. Vicky was a highly spiritual person and cared deeply about the world, humanity, and local civics.  She was open and caring, compassionate, wielded strong personal power, held thoughtful opinions, and was quick to laugh loud, hard, and long.

Vicky is survived by her children, Thomas Manson of Spokane, WA, Richard (Jennifer) Manson of Seattle, WA, and Daniel (Pamela) Manson of Post Falls, ID, grandchildren Monica, Katelynn, Kayla, Bailey, Jacob, Richelle, Paul, and Jessie, great grandchildren Crestin, Emma, Dominic, Emmett, Riley, Khaleesi, and Klaus. She is also survived by her sister Dixie Heyer of Cheney, WA, and her brother David Stempel of Oakland, CA, nephew Peter and her adoring nieces Deena (Lewis) Sweet of Seattle, WA and Jennifer (Lewis) Collins of Spokane, WA, grand nieces and nephews Ari, Alyssa, Sammi, and Derek.  She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved sister Nancy (Stempel) Lewis of Spokane, WA who passed away in 2020.

Vicky will have a private graveside service.  A Celebration of Life reception is scheduled to follow on June 2, 2025, 11:00am at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 North Government Way, for all who knew Vicky during her life.  All are welcome to share thoughts and memories at https://www.heritagefunerals.com/obituaries/victoria-rae-manson
